Part 4: CQI Modules
Evidence of Evaluation of Performance in Practice is obtained by completion of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) modules. These modules are either chart-based reviews from your practice / clinic or responses to subject-based questions from the AAPD Guidelines and Policies and their associated references.
Charts are selected and reviewed to respond to specific questions within each module. ABPD has established
80% correct responses as a benchmark that demonstrates minimum competency for Diplomates. Remediation of modules that fall short of performance goals will be recommended and the module will be repeated. Diplomates will be required to complete two CQIs annually and the choice of which CQIs to complete is up to the Diplomate.
Upon successful completion of a CQI, one (1) CE hour is awarded and is automatically recorded in the Parts 2 and 4 gauges.
