The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is pleased to have Dr. Andrea Gonzalez serving in the position of Chair of the Renewal of Certification (ROC) Subcommittee.
Please join the Directors, Staff and Volunteers of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) in congratulating Dr. Andrea Gonzales for being selected as Chair of the Renewal of Certification Subcommittee. Dr. Gonzales joined the Board as a consultant and Oral Clinical Examiner in 2010. She then was recruited to the Examination Committees in 2013 and has been a productive and effective leader as Part Leader of the Continuous Quality Improvement subsection. Her high level of energy, knowledge and clinical experience positively impacts all who work with her.
Dr. Gonzales comes from a scientific family with a father who was an engineer on the Apollo space missions. Dr. Gonzales branched off into biochemistry and research prior to receiving her DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry (BCOD) in 1993. She continued with BCOD and completed her MS in Oral Biology along with a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1995. While she and her husband, Tom Wickersham established their practice in Flower Mound, TX, she also contributed as an associate clinical instructor and scientific literature author at BCOD. She has also been active in organized dentistry at both the local and national levels.
Dr. Gonzales balances her full professional life with being a mother of two and prioritizes her relationships with her patients, friends, and family. ABPD would like to thank Dr. Gonzales for her service and dedication to high quality board certification and continuous learning.
